Aloha Friday #6

I am so very glad it is Friday. I am ready for a relaxing weekend.

When I first started this blog in 2006, it was only so I could participate in a knitting swap. I had no interest at that time to be a blogger and no inspiration for a title. I was knitting at the time and glanced down to see the sleeve that contained the needles I was using. They read "Novi Rundpinne". Well, Novi is a brand name, so I could not use that. Yet I could use rundpinne, which translates to circular needle. I know, rather unexciting, but for a knitting "blog" it was fine. Now I have a blog name I would very much like to change, since I have become much more interested in blogging.

My question for today is: How did you come up with the name of your blog? Do you still like the name you chose?

I'm glad you explained that...I've always wondered what that meant! I am just busy all of the time, so that's how I came up with my Eighty MPH Mom. I guess I'm still happy with it. What are you thinking about changing it to?

Please see my Aloha Friday question:

Well, my blog is called "A Day with Jake." The title is really befitting because I started my blog as a means to keep my extended family updated on the ins and outs of my little guy's life. But, it's really turned into more of a mommy outlet blog for me. So, I like the name and it still KIND OF fits. :-) But, I don't think I could ever change it.

My grandson calls me grammy and sometimes grammy Janet, that is how I named my blog.

I was going to name it with just my name but I feel so happy when he calls me grammy!

I love how you chose your blog name. Too funny.

No, I don't like "My Musings" because too many other people have similar ones. Not certain how to advise you since I'm having the same problem but I will be interested in your responses.

Good luck!

My blog name is 'Alas 3 Lads' - because I have one daughter (a lass) and three sons (3 lads). I'm not very good at coming up with creative names, but, I am still happy with this one. Happy Friday!

Good question! I came up with my blog name "Life's a Beach" long ago before the technology of blogging was ever thought of. Loving the beach and wanting to spend every moment there, and then living in Ohio so I never could, it was always kinda my "theme" in life. Ended up getting a little tattoo on my leg of a palm tree and beach (really small only the size of a quarter) and when I started my blog it seemed like the natural title.

Have a great day!

this is fairly easy for me as my nickname has always been annie and I love the rag dolls andy and ann. So what better than annies home

My husband came up with my name. I love it, especially if you read the story of a country mouse, city mouse - it does suit me.

Great question, and thanks for your answer as I had no idea what it meant.

A friend of mine said I should start a blog but I never got around to it....until one day out in the garden the "I blame My Mother" just popped in my head. Once I had a name I couldn't wait to start the blog :)

I came up with it on the fly. My husband and son are boys as are our animals. It really isn't the most creative. I may change the name someday if I get inspired with something good!

The day I started my blog and named it, I wrote an email to my best gal pal. The first line was, what's shakin'? =)

Happy Aloha Friday!

Mine came really simple to me. I always tried keeping a diary from the time I was 11 all the way up until about three years ago. And I could never keep up with it. There ya go! I like it. :-)

Your name is unique and I like it! I originally had another name for my blog which was a nickname my dad gave me but it was too long so I changed it to something that would encompass me and my personality and the intent of my blog. It fits. However, there are a lot of nutshell blogs out there, so that part I don't like. For the time being, it's staying the same.

I felt like what I was writing most about {them} was my own little heavenly slice. Though I've noticed someone else with a similar blog name I've debated about changing it...but I have no flippin' clue what I'd change it to!

Mine was easy - I am all about being anxious and I'm definitely a mom. My other blog was much harder to name, I spent days thinking about it. And I am still not sure I like it.

Mine is pretty self-explanatory! Favorite drink since drinking became legal!

My blog is only about 6 months old and at the time I was looking to express how I juggle my kids, husband, work and everything else that wears me out every day. Hence... Juggling Mama

I don't think I really like it anymore but it will do.

My blog is The Angel Forever. When I was in college and had season tickets for our local hockey team my friend was known as the Gremlin. I quickly noted that I would be The Angel Forever within our group of friends. The name stuck since it was the user name that I met my husband with. I am quite happy because it bring back nice memories.

I started writing my blog for my family out of state that wanted to feel like they were closer to my children. I have three boys, so "Adventures in Raising Boys" sorta sounded appropriate. I like still like it.

I can't imagine your blog not being called Rundpinne! It's so unlike all the "Mamas/mommas" stuff out there.

I came up with my name one day, thinking of old nicknames. It was just a flash in my head, especially the alliteration and rhyme of Katydid and Kid. I also like that it uses "K" which is a very underused letter!

I wanted something creative and my name starts with and E so I thought of an adjective that starts with an E and also noun that described this was my place that started with and E. Hence... emilysexcellentexistence. Now the title of my blog (Insert Creative Title) is just me being a smartass!

I started Critical Mass as part of a weight loss regimine - I had reached critical mass. Since then, it has changed into more of an everything blog, but I still like the title.

I started "The way I see it" as a family blog. As it developed into a product review blog, I started another blog for family. Now I think "The way I see it" is a perfect name for a review blog.
