The Rules Changed/The Birth of My First Child

After long deliberation I had decided to share a very personal time in my life in hopes of having a chance at winning a camcorder we could not otherwise ever afford to buy. My motivation was a simple one. I wanted to be able to record the last few years of my boys' childhoods, especially their graduations.

To my knowledge, at the time of this writing, the contest is live. For those just passing by; Kristin from An Ordinary Life , is giving away a JVC Everio GZ-HD320. Again, the contest is now live. For those waning to enter, I wish you the best of luck!

Since the rules of the contest have changed I have decided to remove my story. It is deeply personal and I would like to thank all of you who took the time to read my very long and detailed story and responded so kindly. Thank You.

Wow. That is quite a story and not a good one. I am sorry to hear that your birth experience was so traumatic, but I am glad that everyone was fine in the end. I do know about a 4th degree tear. I had one as well. I couldn't sit for about 2 weeks. Not fun!

I'm glad everything obviously ended up turning out okay in the long run. And thank you for sharing your experience.

P.S If that the possibility of something unexpected/traumatic happening, scares away a pregnant women - they're in for a rough ride to start. Don't you think?

Oh, how heartbreaking! I am so glad that both of you pulled through, though. And your mom flew home?! I can't even imagine.

Oh Jenn thanks for sharing your story. Someone was watching out for you and the little one. So sad with what happened with you Mom. I cant imagine how that felt for her.

Again thanks for sharing such private moments.

Love and Prayers,

Tim

That is quite a story. You told it so incredibly well. What an experience - and to no nothing about what was going on and how your baby was must have been incredibly terrifying. Thank goodness you are both okay. ((hugs)).

Wow...I'm not sure what Magnesium is supposed to do but it seemed to nearly kill me as well!
I hope your sons appreciate all that mom went through to bring them into this world! :)
I hope I never have to go through the magnesium crap again. I fainted shortly after my stitches b/c my blood pressure was so darn low (this was with Jojo). Then I couldn't stand up unassisted for 3 days because I would faint. Also I had an awesome blood clot the size of a softball.
Don't you feel closer to me now?

Wow, what an intense experience! It's a miracle that the two of you survived. You're right about warning women not to read this!

Your son looks so beautiful, and was definitely worth the wait! I hope the twins were a little easier.

The Rules have changed, yet again. No surprise with the mess that always happens with that blog and the Extraordinary Mothers blog. I don't blame you for removing your story.
