Aloha Friday

It is almost time to plant or buy potted plants (I am not a great gardener).

The question for today is: What is your favourite flower to buy or plant?

Visit An Island Life for more fun Aloha Fridays.

I am not a great gardener either, but do like to plant a few flowers. Since we always seem to have shade wherever we live, I like to plant impatiens. They do really well in the shade, and don't seem to take much work. Plant them, water them, and they're beautiful!

I like annuals that don't require too much work - tulips, daffodils, etc. I also want to learn how to take grow roses someday...

I have nowhere to plant a garden. I do love visiting my mom's garden, though. She has gorgeous day lilies and some beautiful lilac plants. (she has other flowers too, but those are my favorites.)

Roses. They are the only thing I can seem to keep alive.

Marigolds and Impatiens seem to get along well with me.

I have always loved violets. I think it is because they are purple and that is my favorite color.

I LOVE pansies .. always have. I make sure to buy tons of them when I do my flower gardens. I tried growing some myself but it didn't work out so well for me.

Calla Lillies. I planted about 8 bulbs when we bought our house almost 4 years ago. Last year they came up just beautifully. SO, I bought 30 more bulbs this month and cannot wait to plant them.

I really love flowers, they are so beautiful. And since I love them so much, I don't attempt to plant them...they deserve to live. :)

I kill most plants and flowers that come near me, so I don't really have a favorite to buy for myself. I did get a beautiful hydrangea bush for Easter (that I just remembered to water and brought back to life), so I'm going to plant that after Mother's Day...if it makes it that long -- we'll see :)
Happy Friday!

I definitely don't have a green thumb, but this year we are going to plant marigolds in our garden, cause they are supposed to help with bugs or something. And they are pretty also! :-)

I started a garden last year and found that my cherry tomatoes were the best. They were the most "fruitful." We had cherry tomatoes all summer long.

Have fun gardening :)

I love planting plumerias, but I'm not sure if I'm taking care of them right since they don't last long and never seem to bloom again. . .

Not really into gardening. Still I bought some Daffodils that were ready to put into the ground. Hubby did that two days ago and they are doing fabulous.

Tulips! I have several different shades of tulips every year.

I'd say my favorite are geraniums, since they are classic, they can withstand light frost (and red ones look great in the fall next to the pumpkins), they're drought-resistant, and they have an intriguing smell. Not floral, just...geranium smelling. Nothing else quite like them.

I really like roses

I wish I had a green thumb, but I love tulips and azaleas.

I can't even pick just one. I'm gonna go crazy as soon as all the stores release their flower inventory!! I might just have to make the non hubby build me a new garden ;)

Marijuana! Just Kidding! Really! LMAO

Definitely pansies. :)

I'm a pretty poor gardener, but I do love how easy geraniums are. I can't kill them no matter how much I neglect them. I love my lilac bushes and my peonies. I can't wait for some flowers to bloom here!

Oh this is a tough one...I love almost every kind of flower. I love Stock, Snapdragons, Nemesia...oh and Zinnias!

I love sunflowers but I can't grow them!

I often plant petunias--my dad called (and still occasionally does) call me Petunia as a nickname...

Blessings!

My dog who is still somewhat of a puppy would eat them! I loved to plant anything that was different colors when we lived in Maryland. I guess begonias were always a favorite.

I am sure it is.. and I am sure I will kill all my plants like I do every year.. I will never give up !!! lol

I LOVE the tulips and daffodils in my front yard. It's amazing how they just come up all by themselves each spring. Effortless! Other than that, I'd say my favorite flower is the calla lily.
