Sorry you've had a tough week--when I need a laugh, I watch Starsky and Hutch

No doubt about it--The 'Burbs. It is an 80's movie with Tom Hanks. It is so silly, but it always puts me in a better mood.

Even though it's a holiday themed movie, I love Elf. Will Ferrel always cracks me up!

There are soooooooooo many, but depending on the reason I like to watch BIG with Tom Hanks or It's a Mad Mad World. Both dated, but seriously funny.

I'm so sorry you've been through such a horrible dark week. Please know you're in my prayers.

I wish I could recommend something funny, I'm not a fan of TV, which makes it difficult to give you any ideas on such.

Once in a while listen George Lopez his CD is hilarious, but if you don't understand Spanish or it's culture (grandmas= Abuelas) and how they act it's hard to follow. He says things in Spanish that even I had to ask hunny hubby about. Once I knew I laughed so hard I cried.

He does cuss quite a bit in Spanish, not a fav of that. But it kinda works. LOL

When life's rough, and I want to feel better...it's all about a bag of M&Ms and some Jane Austen. I love Pride and Prejudice (old is better!) and I LOVE Emma (with Gwyneth Paltrow).

Sorry you have had a rough week. I hope you have a relaxing weekend. I would probably pick a Mel Brooks movie - like Spaceballs.

The first thing that popped into my mind was "The Money Pit". That movie is ridiculous and funny. Tom Hanks really cracks me up in that flick.

I know it's been a rough week and I'm sorry.
Movies are to me like flowers are to you. I don't do happy movies, although I should.

Nightmare Before Christmas is my fave movie of all time. it always cheers me up!

I am more inclined to think of TV shows. Old episodes of Friends always make me laugh. A newer show that I think is really funny is Chuck...the first two seasons are on DVD.

Since I didn't really answer your questions, I asked my husband for ideas. He said Waiting for Guffman (it really is hilarious) or Bowfinger (Steve Martin & Eddie Murphy...I'm not fans of either of them, but it is a funny movie!).

We always get stuck on Hitch when it's on. Can't turn away. Otherwise, Rocky 4. Crap-tacular acting but always a favorite.

Great question! In general, any animated movie (except "Bambi") will cheer me up. Then all romantic comedies. This is basically my entire cue on Netflix. ;-)

Funny Farm or Big Trouble (with Tim Allen) always do the trick for me!

HUGS...

You're probably not into this kind of comedy, but I love the movie Napoleon Dynamite. It cracks me up every time.

I'd also recommend watching the British version of the Office. I love Ricky Gervais, who plays the boss. He's hilarious and uncouth.

the parent trap (the one with little lindsay lohan) or either one of the willy wonka movies.
