Aloha Friday - 4th of July

TGIF!

The question for today is: How do you celebrate the 4th of July?

We usually end up at a neighbourhood BBQ ending the evening watching fireworks.

Visit An Island Life for more fun Aloha Fridays.

Our daughter's birthday is July 3rd. We usually have a family cookout/get-together to celebrate both the 4th and her birthday.

We're going to a city festival

My husband just suggested we go to a resort and watch the fireworks on the lake. So perhaps we will do that

I love fireworks. I like to watch a celebration with fireworks.
When our children were young we would go to the city and set off at their grandparents house.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. This year we are celebrating the fourth with our family. We are visiting my in-laws. My hubby's sisters and their families are also joining us for some fun at the beach and fireworks. Take care.

We've got kind of a tradition with some friends and cook out at the park, then watch fireworks.

This year we're going to a friend's cabin for breakfast. We usually do something different each year. Last year we watched fireworks over a lake and went camping.

We go to the celebration at the big park down the road from us, eating Fair Food and playing games. It's tons of fun, and there are, of course, fireworks at the end.

USUALLY we're at the beach. This year we're staying home and I have NO CLUE what we're going to do-my family is at the beach and we usually spend it with them or if we come back before the 4th we go to the lake and have a cookout and do fireworks.

I will be attending my sons BBQ at his house. I feel weird usually it's me running about like a chicken without a head.. Now I get sit back and be waited on! AS he explained for 21.5 years ma, you've done it for us.. now it's your turn! You get to relax! I'm not a relaxer.. I'll be up in that kitchen faster then a fly at a feast!

They are calling for rain this year so, I'm thinking the parade may not happen here. There are so many things to do.

Sad to say that we really do not have a tradition. Since the kids are young we never really go see the local fireworks. Sometimes we will watch the Macy's display on television.

We seem to do something different every year. This year we'll be with my mom and dad and having a BBQ at one of their friends homes.

Food and Fireworks for me..Happy 4th to you.

With picnics and fireworks (although I've never particulary like them--especially the kind people light off in their neighborhoods--too dangerous!)

But lots of time outside, pool picnics, and also celebrating our wedding anniversary, which was July 2. Family and friends!

I'm Canadian, so technically we don't celebrate it, but it's also my nephew's birthday, so we usually have a bbq at his parents place. I guess we kind of celebrate it :).

Mighty M said...

We go to my MIL's for a barbecue and then home to do fireworks with the kids. This year our neighborhood is having a kiddie "parade" in the morning, so we are all excited about that too!! Happy 4th!

We usually BBQ but hubby is working this year -- so we will just hang around in the pool.

No traditions yet. Last year we spent the day with my Sister and her husband's family. I'm hoping this year we can go some place just the three of us.

I normally just watch some fireworks on tv because trying to see fireworks in my town is close to impossible due to crazy traffic. But this year some high school friends are getting married so I will be at their wedding :)

We are having a cookout if the weather is nice!

Thom said...

We are having a BBQ and then walking across the street to the bay to watch the fireworks. Have a Happy 4th :) Aloha

i knew this question would be asked by more than just me, but wanted to ask anyways.

i think we've decided to go on a hike and then camp out at a local park to watch one of the best shows in colorado. now we just need to have the weather cooperate.

As I said in my blog, we're not doing much this year except grilling some food outdoors if weather permits. In years past we've done family cookouts, local parades and fireworks.

We'll go to my aunt's house for a cookout and to just hang out, and then off to see fireworks later on!

Normally we get together with family. this year though, we're staying home and taking it easy. Our neighbors do little fireworks in the courtyard so we can watch those on our balcony. :)

This year we're going to a BBQ at our neighbor's house. In the past we've done different things, had friends over, gone to big fireworks displays... we don't really have a set tradition on the 4th. :)

We usually visit friends, but I usually watch the fireworks from our house - we have a pretty good view. We have lots of decking around our house, and I kind of like to stay home and wet things down (I'm paranoid LOL)

Well, living in Las Vegas, it's always fun to see the coordinated fireworks shows that each casino puts on. We also bought some Phantom street fireworks, so that'll be fun.

We don't celebrate 4th of July here. It must be a great and festive celebration.

Evening picnic - it's my hubby's busiest day at work. Later, we let the kids set off cheap fireworks like sparklers.
