Shopping-Aloha Friday

Seeing how it is Friday, today's question is going to require as little brain power as possible.

The question for today is either:
If you have school age children: Have you finished your back to school shopping?
or
If you do not have school age children: What is your favourite type of shopping?

We have not done any back to school shopping. This weekend or next we will see if there is any clothing the guys need. I think they are fairly well set with clothing and shoes, considering they cleaned out their closets and there was less than usual to donate. They will not know what they need for their classes until after the first day, so at least we get to avoid the crowds. Actually I may just send them on their own. The perks of having children who can drive! I really do not like school supply shopping.

Visit An Island Life for more fun Aloha Fridays.

My favorite type of shopping is where other people pay lol But really, probably earrings and rings :)

We have been done with school supply shopping for quite some time. When the sales started to fly we went. I think we are mostly set with clothing as well. May need another pair of shoes. I was waiting for my son's B-day on Monday to see what else he gets before finishing everything up with clothes. We have time since school starts the day after Labor Day.

We have four kids - ages 16, 13, 11, and 8. They started back to school on Tuesday. All of the supplies and clothes are pretty much taken care of for now. I will probably have to do another round of school-clothes shopping in a few months.

The school supply sheets haven't been sent out yet where I live.

But, my favorite kind of shopping is for books, candles or photography equipment.

Hmm favorite type of shopping... Antique shopping! It's always fun to see what treasures we can find.

I haven't done any shopping yet. We get the classroom list at parent's night. Grandparents provide most of the fall wardrobe. Aloha and take care.

Sometimes it sucks to talk to you outside of the blog because you already know my answer to this but...

All Nathan needed was a pair of shoes. Which he was a poop-head and chose to go to the lake instead of going to get them. So no, I am not done. Or yes, I am done. Still haven't totally decided if I will get them for him. He is really ticking me off right now.

I ran right over when I saw the word "shopping". I was hoping to live vicariously through you because heavens no, I am not done shopping. Can one ever reallybe done with school shopping?
I think not.

My kids aren't in school yet but my favorite type of shopping would be shopping for baby/toddler clothes and toys!

My kids aren't in school yet, and I'm not a big fan of shopping in general. But it is a big treat to get to pick out something new for myself or the house.

Sadly school starts here on 9.9.09 and I have yet to buy one thing for school which is unusual! I'm normally done and NOT having to deal with the crowds makes me happy. Now I'll be a mess standing in LONG lines and dealing with irate parents. LOL

My son is entering first grade, and we have all his supplies, but still need to get him some clothes this weekend. He goes back on Thursday! Where did the summer go??

YEAH!!!! My kids are old enough to do their own BTS shopping :)
I have learned to hate shopping with age... although... if there is a really good sale going on I'm an easy sucker.

Happy Friday!

Hmmm... I guess my favorite type of shopping is buying clothes for my children because it is so easy, they look so cute, and everything pretty much seems to fit. Wish it was that easy for me!! ;-) Happy Friday!

I have not finished my back to school shopping yet. We have visiting days at my son's school so when I find out what he needs, I will go out and buy the things he needs.

With a 3 year old and a 1 1/2 year old I've got a few years before the school shopping begins. Whew!

With that being said, I enjoy Christmas shopping the most. Buying gift for others is just plain fun!Plus I begin early and avoid the crowds!

I love shopping for crafts and crafty items! I'm very artsy and even though my son isn't, I still involve him in art projects so it's always fun to shop for cheap items we can use to make something out of.

KimberlyKaye said...

we have everything we have a list for except the graphing calculator. We don't get a list for the high schooler until school starts, though we have bought his basic supplies.

I still have a bit of school supplies to buy, but am mostly finished. I haven't bought a single item of clothing though, eek!

No school-age kids here. I love shopping for crafting supplies... but only if I get to go ALONE!

My girls started school back in July so, yes, we're done with our shopping. I love buying brand new school supplies!

I only have a couple more things to get and then we'll be all set!

I love your redesign! It turned out awesome!

We've almost finished back-to-school shopping. Just a couple supplies and some clothing to buy. We already have the new shoes and all the main supplies, we just need tissue and wipes and jeans and shirts...and socks and underwear.

I usually buy a few pairs of jeans at the beginning of school and then wait a week before buying any shirts. Then I get great prices.

I really dislike school shopping. We still have to do a bit for my daughter, but we don't need too many things, thank goodness!

My favorite type of shopping is the kind where I have money to spend! Other than that, I enjoy shopping all the time. ;-)
