Coppola: A Pediatric Surgeon In Iraq-Teaser Tuesdays

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Here is mine:
"Nothing I could tell them would offer any semblance of normalcy to this absurd state of affairs. I just hope they are handling it better than I am."
~Pages 28, Coppola: A Pediatric Surgeon In Iraq by Dr. Chris Coppola
My review will be up this week.

The title of the book is a pretty good teaser by itself. Now I want to know more.

I'm intrigued. Is it a non fiction or fiction? Either way, I look forward to your review

What an interesting book. I am assuming it is a true story based on the title. I am looking forward to your review. I just finished more of a fiction novel about aid workers in Africa (Cause Celeb) and it was much better than I was expecting. I'll have to try this one out if you liked it.

I'm definitely looking forward to reading what you have to say about this, although I'm not sure I have the guts to read it myself.

Sounds like a M.A.S.H. unit. Even if they aren't handling it well, they better fake it!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hoping against hope that the resilience of children will do the trick, I suppose? Great teaser. I'll agree with the others and say that it sounds very intriguing, and obviously I need to find out what it's about. Nice choice!

Also, thanks for coming by my blog earlier. :)
