Aloha Friday-Happy New Year!

Seeing how it is Friday, today's question is going to require as little brain power as possible.

The question for today: How did you celebrate New Year's Eve?

I spent New Year's Eve with my wonderful husband and fabulous sons and as a family we read the New Year in.

Visit An Island Life for more fun Aloha Fridays.

I was reading Moby Dick for the Read-a-thon when the year clicked over. Didn't even notice.

As usual, we kept the kids up, watched the ball drop on TV, went outside to bang pots & pans, and kissed and toasted each other. Happy New Year!

I have 30 minutes until 2010 for me but I am watching a marathon of Big Bang Theory with my parents while eating rice krispie treats.

I still have about an hour until midnight but we did go to my parents' house for dinner earlier. Now we're at home just relaxing and watching all the fireworks outside our window!

We went out to dinner with some neighbors. Then came back to hang out at their house for a little bit. Got in bed around 2 a.m. This is very unusual for us - we ALWAYS spend the night in with our kids, so, while it was nice to have some "grown-up" time, I really did miss being with my kids.

Happy New Year!

My youngest grandson had a sleepover, and while he played his video games and watched movies, I read, with an occasional break for movies. Then I watched Dick Clark and the Countdown to the "ball drop."

We had plans but ended up not going out cuz our girls were sick with fevers and we don't leave them on New Years...we like to do something with them.
So it turned out to be a quiet, relaxed very nice time at home.

We had a mini celebration with the kids before they went to bed. I tried to stay awake but fell asleep before midnight.
