My Review:

The Most Effective Ways to Live Longer by Dr. Bowden is a well-rounded, well-researched and documented book on how to live a higher quality of life. Dr. Bowden has divided his book into three detailed sections comprising of eleven chapters. The first section contains five chapters regarding the various aging processes. The second section contains the next six chapters, which contain the various means of how to not only become fit but also stay fit, regardless of age. The final section provides the reader with a plan, a workbook, journal, and further resources. Along with these fantastic tools, Dr. Bowden adds endnotes, his acknowledgements, a bit about himself and an extensive index. The Most Effective Way to Live Longer provides the reader with all the information needed to live a higher quality of life. Filled with informative graphs, diagrams, and exercises, this book is an excellent choice for anyone wanting to learn more about the aging process, how to become healthier, fit and create an overall sense of well-being.

About the Author:

Jonny Bowden, PhD, C.N.S. is a board-certified nutrition specialist and a nationally known expert on weight loss and nutrition. His work has been endorsed by a virtual who’s who in the world of integrative medicine and nutrition including Dr. Christiane Northrup, Dr. Mehmet Oz, Dr. Barry Sears (who calls him “one of the best”) and Dr. Ann Louise Gittleman, (who calls him “the personal health coach I would want in my corner no matter what”).Dr. Bowden writes the monthly “Healthy Solutions” column for Better Nutrition Magazine, is a regular contributor to America Online, and a contributing editor for both Clean Eating magazine and Total Health Magazine.

I think everyone could benefit from this book, but I know my Dad would especially love this. His birthday is in March and I know what I am getting him now!
