What Are You Reading Monday? 11 January

I adore this meme, which was created by J. Kaye at J. Kaye's Book Blog . It is the perfect way for me to begin the week by helping me to focus on what needs to be read and to see what I have or have not accomplished the previous week. I also enjoy discovering new books by visiting other participants blogs.

I Read:
  • My Dearest Mr. Darcy by Sharon Lathan (320 pages)- Review
  • The Sweet By and By by Sara Evans and Rachel Hauck (307 pages) - Review
  • The Most Effective Ways To Live Longer by Jonny Bowden (286 pages) - Review
  • Totally Tones Arms by Rylan Duggan (192 pages) - Review
  • Angel and Apostle by Deborah Noyes (294 pages) - Review
  • A Good Talk by Daniel Menaker (240 pages) - Review
  • Beyond Blue by Therese Borchard (288 pages) - Review
This Week I am hoping to read:
  • Corrigan's Pool by Dot Ryan (404 pages)
  • Deadline Man by Jon Talton (276 pages)
  • The Singer's Gun by Emily St. Mandel (287 pages)
  • Wench by Dolen Perkins-Valdez (293 pages)
  • Mass Casualties by SPC Michael Anthony (234 pages)
Visit next Monday to see if I managed to accomplish my reading goals.

I haven't heard of any of the books on your list this week.

I thought the Sweet By and By was something completely different, glad I checked out your review.
You can see what I am reading at Bloody Bad.

Wow, lot of great books there. I wish I could accomplish half of that a week. Good luck reading for next Monday.

There's so many Austen spin-offs, it's making me panicky: I still haven't read an Austen book, but I'm working on that this year! :)

Great reads here! I also really want to read Wench.

Raíla said...

HMM. I don't know any of these, but I hope you enjoy all of them! Have a happy reading! :)

I'm curious about that book titled simply Wench. I always joke that I can include the word 'wench' on my resume thanks to an early job as a tavern wench in a historic village.

Looks like you have a fun week ahead!

Wow, I can't decide if I should be impressed or initimidated by your 7 reads in a week! I can get so bogged down when a book doesn't just sing to me right off the bat, and yet unless it's truly horrid, I normally still slog through it. And sadly I am a bit bogged down right now, but I'm hoping your long list here will inspire me to either power through to pick up something else.

I'm always amazed when I see lists like this. I know what I'm reading today, but beyond that I just see what I find - I am not as organised as you!

Warms my heart to read that you adore this meme. I do too and it has really helped me to stay on track in 2009. I no longer go through dry spells that last a month or two.

It also helps that others are doing this too. I don't feel so alone if that makes sense.
