It's Monday What Are You Reading? 15 February

I adore this meme, which was originally What Are you Reading Mondays created by J. Kaye's Book Blog. This fabulous meme is now being hosted by Sheila and has been renamed, It's Monday What Are You Reading? Come join the fun.

It's Monday What Are you Reading is the perfect way for me to begin my week and allows me to focus on what needs to be read and to see what I have or have not accomplished the previous week. I also enjoy discovering new books by visiting other participants blogs.

Due to the loss of a family member last Sunday and me coming down with the flu slowed my reading down considerably. This week I thought I may be able to catch -up, however, my neighbour has but a few days to live. I will be taking it day by day doing the best dividing my time.

I Read and Reviewed (click the title to be taken to the review):
This Week I am hoping to read (I type this optimistically since there was a death in the family we learned of Sunday morning and another one anytime now):
  • Eternal On the Water by Joseph Monninger
  • Moonlight Falls by Vincent Zandri
  • Lessons In French by Laura Kinsale
  • Home Is Where the Wine Is by Laurie Perry
  • All Things Hidden by Tricia Goyer
  • Culture of Excess by JR Slosr
Visit next Monday to see if I managed to accomplish my reading goals.

You had a good reading week Jennifer. I am reading The Bride Collector now. I really enjoy Decker's books with a couple exceptions.

Have a good week Jennifer - so sorry to hear of your loss.

I am so sorry to hear of all your bad news, one day at a time is definitely how to take it, and I hope that your books give you a chance to escape everything for a little while if that's what you need.

I hacen't heard of a lot of those books, but The Bride Collector sounds pretty good!

Jennifer, it must be a very difficult time for you at the moment. That's the one great thing about reading I guess, you can escape your life for just a little while. Hope the week is not too difficult on you!

What a tough week you've had, I'll be keeping you in my thoughts. Hope you love Eternal on the Water as much as I did, although you'll need a box of tissues!

I'm so sorry to hear that you've lost a familymember! I hope this week will be a good week for you and your family and that you take care of each other and cerise all the good memories of the one you've lost.

I'm interested to see what you think of Eternal on the Water. I had a rough time getting interested in that book.

I really want to read The Bride Collector. I recently read my first Dekker book and can't wait to read more.

Hi Jennifer, as much as you love reading, be sure to give yourself permission to deal with what's going on in your life right now.
Do what you can and let the rest go.

So sorry for your loss.

My goodness, you and your family have had a hard time of it lately. I'm very sorry for your loss and I hope you feel better soon.

I keep hearing about Ted Dekker but I haven't actually read anything by him. I should give him a try sometime.

Take care.

Sorry to hear about your loss, I hope you manage to escape for a bit with your reading.

I don't think I've actually read any of the books you mentioned so I'll have to read through some of your reviews :o)
