Milestones

Over 17 years ago I began recording milestones for my first-born. As a proud new mum I made certain no feat went unrecorded. As time passed the milestones became fewer and farther between. No longer do I have a cute baby book to journal in, yet today marks a new milestone for my oldest son, today he is officially visiting his first University campus. During the next few months we will be visiting many College and University campuses, however, today marks the very first campus we will officially tour for consideration. It is a big day and while my son is excited, I sit here with my coffee over 17 years later, still sleep deprived, wondering where the time went.

Good luck to you guys as you search!

It's stressful and fun and tiring, but it's very much worth it all in the end!

Hang in there, Mom!! I know that kids grow up too fast (we mostly think) and making those first forays into the college pond is a pretty big deal. Just sit back and enjoy this time. It's bittersweet, but it also means that you guys are heading to a new place and a new relationship. Which is not a completely bad thing (I say as my kiddo as been out of high school for 9 years almost). Hugs to you!

Oh, those milestones! Just wait until your babies start having babies!

When I look at some of my grandchildren, I think...hmm, how did this happen?

Wow. I can't even imagine the pride, fear, anxiousness and the bitter-sweet sorrow you must be feeling. It really does fly by so quickly. Hugs to you, mama!

I remember when my daughter started college and she already graduated three years ago. The time goes so fast.

Aww, I feel happy and sad for you all at the same time! What a great milestone to celebrate, but you're right, the time flies by way too fast!

17 years of love, support, silently watching over them, sometimes loudly watching over them - all to make them who they are today. You've done good Jennifer, you and hubby.

I pray the search for colleges/universities goes well - that the right fit is found.

Do you think we will ever be NOT sleep deprived? LOLOL It doesn't get any easier - sadly - as they get older... and the coffee just keeps getting stronger ;)

Much love knitty (hugs)

Best of luck to you and your son on the college hunt. It seems like only a few years ago, I was in the same place as him, though it's been over 15 years (yikes!). The time really does fly.
